An employee has a boss who notices when they slow down. A freelancer doesn't: you bill the hours, but nobody checks how many of them were real work and how many were a lit screen with your head somewhere else. FocusSea measures the difference, and puts a real person next to you on video when discipline alone isn't enough.
Runs in the browser, nothing to install. An account is only needed if you want to join a coworking slot.
The risk in freelancing isn't working too little: it's working many hours and billing the right amount, with too many low-yield half-hours mixed in that nobody flags, because nobody sees them. The result is the evening where you "worked all day" and can't say what you actually finished.
A timer that only counts minutes doesn't fix this: ten hours with the screen on and three real hours of focused work look identical.
It's the digital version of working next to someone: it's called body doubling. It doesn't replace a client or a coworker, but it gives that small pressure to stay on task that usually comes from an office, not from a desk in your living room.
Free for up to three sessions a week. The slot calendar is visible without signing up: an account is only needed once you actually enter a slot, because there's a real person on the other side. You need to be 18.
FocusSea doesn't count minutes at the desk: it counts weighted hours. At the end of every session you rate your focus from 1 to 10, and the time is weighted accordingly: minutes × focus / 10. It's the difference between the time you spent working and the time that actually produced something.
In the app you don't estimate this number: it comes out of every logged session on its own, and becomes your daily and weekly target. Every project or client becomes a Goal with hours spent and a result, with averages weighted by hours instead of a flat count.
Weighted hours measure your focus, not tax, rates or invoices: FocusSea is not an invoicing or tax-advice tool.
The calendar is visible without signing up. If you'd rather start solo, you can walk in right now as a guest, with no account and no email.
Open coworking →No. FocusSea measures how focused you were during the hours you worked; it doesn't issue invoices or calculate tax or hourly rates. It's a companion for the actual work, not an accounting tool.
No. The camera is recommended, because it's what makes the other person's presence feel real, but it isn't required. Calls are never recorded, in any case.
Not for the timer, the goals and the statistics: you come in as a guest and use all of it. Only for entering a coworking slot, where a real person is on the other side. The calendar and the number of people online stay visible without signing up.
